Ocean Hostel

The Ocean Hostel is just outside the Edinburgh city center in the town of Leith, which is right on the Firth of Forth - so the name of the hostel is appropriate. The area of Leith, essentially an Edinburgh suburb, has recently been undergoing massive development and is rapidly becoming a fashionable area to live in. And Ocean Hostel is the only hostel in Leith. The hostel is located on main bus routes, so you will have no trouble getting into Edinburgh.

The rooms at Ocean Hostel are both dorm style and private rooms of four-eight beds. The dorm rooms sleep between six and 14 people. If you want to book a private room, they are in short supply - so book well in advance. All of the bed rooms make use of shared bathroom facilities, and there are separate bathrooms for men and women.
