Plus Prague

The words “luxury” and “hostel” do not often go together, but Plus Prague is out to change that impression. To begin with, it has its own indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. What other hostel can claim that? Oh, but that is just the beginning.

To back up for just a moment, it should be said that Plus Prague is not right in the center of everything - but it is only three Metro stops away from the historic Old Town. And those three Metro stops will transport you to a different kind of hostel, so it is totally worth it. THe hostel itself is huge, with nearly 550 beds, and every single room has an en suite bathroom with shower and toilet. That is another hostel luxury. There is a kitchen on every floor of the hostel as well, but if you do not want to cook you will not go hungry - the hostel features an Italian restaurant and a bar, which are both great places to meet and hang out with friends. If you prefer a little competition, Plus Prague also comes equipped with a pool table.

Perhaps the most special thing about Plus Prague is the Plus Girls Zone (at least if you are a girl). Every backpacking woman knows that at some point you just want a bubble bath, some perfume and a little makeup. Well, Plus Prague knows how you feel. The Plus Girls Zone features large bathrooms with makeup tables, big mirrors and hair dryers. When you check into the Plus Girls Zone you even get a fresh and fluffy towel to use during your stay and a free cosmetics bag full of girly goodies. If you can think of another hostel that offers this kind of luxury, we want to know about it.

While “intimate” is not the word we would use to describe Plus Prague, this big hostel is doing just about everything right. If its amazing list of amenities (seriously, we still cannot get over the indoor swimming pool) is not enticement enough, we do not know what is. The hostel is perfectly situated to be convenient to seeing what you want to see in Prague while still being a place to relax and regroup, not to mention hanging out with friends. It would be hard for other hostels to compete with Plus Prague, that much is certain.
